Name: Coconut Chutney Recipe by Best North / South Indian Vegetarian Catering Service Provider in Chennai
- 1/2 cup fresh coconut grated
- 2 tbsp fried gram daal
- 2 green chilies
- Salt as needed
- A pinch of hing Water as needed
- 3/4 TSP oil
- 1/4 TSP mustard
- 2-3 pieces urad dal
- 2-3 pieces channa daal
- 2-3 pieces of yellow moong daal
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- Mix all the ingredients well without adding water.
- Sweep the sides and add water just as needed. Blend again. Add a pinch of hing and salt as needed. Heat a pan with oil on a low flame, once hot – add mustard, urad dal, Channa and yellow moong daal. Saute until golden. Add curry leaves and turn of the gas.
- Saute until the leaves turn crisp. Pour this over the chutney.
- The Chutney is now ready and can be served with a range of south indian dishes and snacks.
