Name: Moong Daal Seera Recipe by Best Vegetarian Catering Service in Chennai

 

Serves: 3-4 pax

 

Ingredients

 

  • Yellow moong daal = 100 gms
  • Ghee = 80 gms
  • Sugar = 100 gms
  • Khoa = 25 gms

 

Procedure

 

  • Soak yellow moong daal for 90 mins. Strain and squeeze dry.
  • Add the yellow moong daal to a blender and grind to a very coarse paste
  • In a pan pour the ghee till hot and in low flame add the coarse paste from above. Slowly stir till light brown.
  • Add sugar and continue to stir till it is a darker shade of brown.
  • Add khoa till it disappears into the mixture
  • The halwa is ready to be served. Garnish with finely chopped badaam and pista. Serve hot.
